BOOKING TERMS

When making a reservation with Wandering Trout Pty Ltd, you agree to the following booking terms.

We have kept these terms as clear as possible. Wandering Trout is a small hosted dining and accommodation business, so cancellations, late changes, damage and no-shows affect us more than they would a larger property.

18+ EXPERIENCE

Wandering Trout is an 18+ dining and accommodation experience.

DINING RESERVATIONS

Dining at Wandering Trout is offered as a hosted seasonal experience around one shared table.

Reservations are essential. Online reservations close 48 hours prior to seating so we can prepare properly for the guests joining us.

Card details may be required to secure your reservation. By providing card details, you confirm that you are authorised to use that card and authorise Wandering Trout to charge any applicable booking, cancellation, no-show, damage, cleaning or agreed additional charges.

Dietary requirements must be advised at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate genuine dietary needs with advance notice, but may not be able to accommodate all preferences or late changes.

BYO is not available.

ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS

Accommodation bookings must be paid in full at the time of reservation unless otherwise stated.

A booking is confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation email. If you do not receive confirmation within 48 hours of making your reservation, please contact Wandering Trout.

All accommodation rates are based on one or two guests per room. Maximum occupancy is two guests per room.

Accommodation is located within a small hosted heritage property. Guests are expected to respect the quiet enjoyment of other guests, particularly later in the evening and overnight.

CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

Wandering Trout is a small boutique property with limited rooms and limited dining seats. Cancellations and no-shows have a significant impact on us.

We recommend guests consider travel insurance, particularly when booking during peak travel periods or when travel plans may be affected by illness, weather, transport delays or other unexpected events.

STANDARD ACCOMMODATION RATES

Full payment is taken at the time of booking.

30% of the booking total is a non-refundable booking fee.

The remaining 70% is refundable for cancellations made before midnight, five days prior to the check-in date.

Cancellations made within five days of check-in are non-refundable.

No refund applies for no-shows or cancellations made on the day of check-in.

No refund applies for stays between 1 December and 31 March inclusive, including any part of a booking that falls within those dates.

SPECIAL PROMOTION RATES

Special promotion rates are paid in full at the time of booking and are non-refundable.

No refund applies for cancellations, no-shows or changes of mind.

DINING CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

Dining reservations are limited and prepared for in advance.

Cancellation and no-show terms may apply to dining reservations as stated during the booking process.

By making a dining reservation, you agree to the cancellation and no-show terms shown at the time of booking.

CHANGES TO BOOKINGS

Wandering Trout is small and has limited capacity. Changes to reservation dates are not always possible.

Accommodation amendment requests made more than one month before check-in may be considered at our discretion and subject to availability. Where approved, payments may be held as credit for use within six months. Rates will be recalculated at the time of rebooking.

Changes cannot usually be made within one month of check-in.

Dining reservation changes are subject to availability and the terms shown at the time of booking.

GUEST SPACES

Shared guest spaces are provided for the enjoyment of all guests.

Books, games, furnishings, decorations, appliances and other property supplied by Wandering Trout must remain onsite and undamaged.

Guests are expected to leave shared areas tidy after use.

Where appliances are available, streaming services are not provided. Guests may use their own accounts where pairing or casting is available.

BREAKFAST

Where breakfast is included, it is provided as a light start to the day.

We are a small team and housekeeping begins at 10am. Guests are asked to tidy their own dishes and leave shared breakfast spaces neat for others.

There are no guest cooking facilities and no area for storing travel provisions unless specifically arranged with management.

RUBBISH & EXCESS CLEANING

Mole Creek has limited rubbish services. Guests are asked to be mindful of excess rubbish brought onto the property.

Additional cleaning or rubbish removal charges may apply where excess rubbish, unreasonable mess, smoke taint, staining or other avoidable cleaning issues are left behind.

SMOKING

Wandering Trout is non-smoking inside all accommodation rooms, indoor guest areas and dining spaces.

Smoke taint or evidence of smoking indoors may incur a minimum cleaning charge equivalent to two nights’ accommodation.

DAMAGE

Guests are responsible for any damage caused to Wandering Trout property during their stay or visit.

Damage to rooms, furnishings, appliances, shared spaces, dining spaces or other property may be charged to the card used for booking.

A minimum charge equivalent to two nights’ accommodation may apply for significant damage, smoke taint or loss of use.

PAYMENTS & CARD SURCHARGES

By providing credit card details, you confirm that you are authorised to use the card and authorise Wandering Trout to charge the cost of your booking, any pre-ordered extras and any applicable cancellation, no-show, cleaning, damage or agreed additional charges.

Credit card surcharges may apply.

American Express surcharge: 2.5%.

If your booking is made through a third-party platform, the terms and conditions of that platform may also apply.

PRIVACY & CARD SECURITY

Wandering Trout is committed to keeping your personal information private and secure.

Personal information may be collected when you make a booking, purchase goods or services, contact us, or stay with us. This may include your name, contact details, payment details, booking details and, where required, identification.

We use this information to manage bookings, process payments, provide services, communicate with guests and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell, swap or share your personal information with unrelated third parties for marketing purposes.

Card payments are processed through secure payment systems. Wandering Trout does not use your payment details for any purpose other than managing your booking, purchases and authorised charges.

CHANGES OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

From time to time, circumstances outside our control may affect a booking or service. This may include illness, staff shortages, weather, power outages, supply issues, emergency repairs, government restrictions or other events beyond our reasonable control.

If Wandering Trout needs to cancel or change a confirmed booking, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the affected booking.
